Man Bikes Across 12 Nations, Funds Surgeries & Empowers Villages
Joshuva Daniel Putti, a passionate bike rider from Andhra Pradesh, has taken his love for cycling to new heights by traveling across 12 countries, making a significant impact on the lives of others. As Rider Josh, he has not only explored the world on two wheels but has also used his journey to fund surgeries, plant over 700 trees, and aid remote communities. Through his Rider Josh Foundation, he has provided food and medical aid, earning him recognition and awards for his selfless efforts.
Rider Josh’s incredible journey began in 2017, when he embarked on a solo bike trip across India. The adventure took him through the scenic Himalayas, as well as the rugged terrain of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir. During this trip, he was struck by the stark contrast between the poverty-stricken villages and the urban centers. This experience motivated him to use his journey to make a positive difference in the lives of the people he encountered.
In 2018, Rider Josh ventured into Uganda, where he spent several months exploring the country and interacting with the local communities. He was deeply moved by the struggles of the people, particularly the women and children, and decided to take action. He set up a sewing training program for women, empowering them to become self-sufficient and earn a living. This initiative not only provided them with a means of income but also boosted their confidence and self-esteem.
Rider Josh’s humanitarian efforts did not go unnoticed. He was soon recognized for his selfless work, and his foundation began to receive donations and support from various organizations. This enabled him to expand his activities, providing medical aid and food to those in need. During the floods in Kerala in 2018, Rider Josh was among the first responders, providing essential supplies and medical care to the affected communities.
The COVID-19 pandemic posed an unprecedented challenge to Rider Josh’s work. Despite the difficulties, he continued to pedal, delivering essential supplies and medical aid to remote areas. His efforts were recognized by the Indian government, which awarded him the “Service to Humanity” award.
Rider Josh’s bike rides have not only taken him across India and Uganda but also through the rugged terrain of Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. He has cycled through the scenic landscapes of Europe, including Italy, Switzerland, and Austria. His journey has taken him across the borders of 12 countries, covering over 50,000 kilometers.
Throughout his travels, Rider Josh has been driven by his passion for helping others. He believes that even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in someone’s life. His foundation has provided medical aid to over 1,000 patients, and his tree-planting initiatives have resulted in the growth of over 700 trees.
Rider Josh’s story is a testament to the power of human spirit and the impact that one person can have on the world. His journey is a reminder that even in the face of adversity, we have the capacity to make a difference. As he continues to ride across the world, inspiring others with his story, he remains committed to his mission of empowering communities and providing medical aid to those in need.
