
PCAIT, Delhi CM Discuss ICT Growth & Nehru Place Revamp Plan
In a significant move towards strengthening Delhi’s ICT (Information and Communication Technology) ecosystem, a delegation from PCAIT (Progressive Channels Association of Information Technology), led by its President, Alok Gupta, met Delhi CM, Rekha Gupta, on July 3, 2025. The meeting aimed to discuss a joint roadmap for the growth of ICT in the national capital and revamp the iconic Nehru Place.
The PCAIT delegation emphasized the need to revitalize Nehru Place, a hub for IT and ITes companies, to ensure its continued growth and contribution to the city’s economy. “We would like to request the Delhi government to declare Nehru Place as a Zero Plastic Zone,” said Alok Gupta, President, PCAIT. “This initiative will not only help in maintaining a clean and green environment but also promote a culture of sustainability among the IT and ITes companies operating in the area.”
The Delhi CM, Rekha Gupta, appreciated the PCAIT delegation’s efforts and emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the growth of the ICT sector in Delhi. She assured the delegation that the government would consider the request to declare Nehru Place as a Zero Plastic Zone and explore other ways to revitalize the area.
