Surrender is in your DNA: Nadda on Rahul’s ‘PM surrendered’ remark
In a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, BJP President JP Nadda has said that “surrender is in your DNA, in the Congress dictionary, but Bharat (India) never surrenders”. Nadda’s remarks came in response to Rahul’s recent comment that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had “surrendered” during Operation Sindoor, a call that allegedly came from US President Donald Trump.
The controversy began when Rahul made the claim during a rally in Bhopal, where he alleged that during the 2020 standoff between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladakh, a call came from Trump, and Modi immediately agreed to a ceasefire. Rahul’s statement was met with widespread criticism, with many questioning the accuracy of his claim.
Nadda, in his response, lashed out at Rahul, saying that the Congress leader’s comment was a reflection of the party’s own history of surrender. “Surrender is in your DNA, in the Congress dictionary, but Bharat (India) never surrenders,” Nadda said. “It is a fact that the Congress has a history of surrendering to external forces. They surrendered to the British, they surrendered to the Pakistanis during the 1965 war, and they surrendered to the Chinese during the Kargil war.”
Nadda also took a dig at Rahul’s claim that Modi had received a call from Trump, saying that it was an attempt to divert attention from the real issues facing the country. “Rahul Gandhi is trying to create a diversion from the real issues of the country. He is trying to distract the people from the failures of his own party and the government,” Nadda said.
The BJP President also questioned Rahul’s sources for the claim, saying that there was no credible evidence to support his statement. “Rahul Gandhi has no credible sources to back up his claim. He is just making wild allegations without any proof. We demand that he come clean on his sources and provide evidence to support his claim,” Nadda said.
Nadda’s remarks have sparked a fresh controversy, with the Congress party hitting back at the BJP President. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that Nadda’s statement was an attempt to mislead the people and distract them from the real issues facing the country. “Nadda’s statement is a desperate attempt to distract the people from the failures of the Modi government. The fact remains that the PM did receive a call from Trump and agreed to a ceasefire during Operation Sindoor,” Surjewala said.
However, many experts have questioned the accuracy of Rahul’s claim, saying that there is no credible evidence to support his statement. “There is no credible evidence to support Rahul’s claim. The Indian government has denied the claim, and there is no record of any such call being made by Trump,” said a former diplomat.
The controversy has once again highlighted the bitter rivalry between the two parties, with both sides trading barbs and accusations. The spat has also raised questions about the credibility of political leaders and their ability to make informed statements.
In conclusion, Nadda’s statement that “surrender is in your DNA” is a stinging rebuke to Rahul’s claim that Modi had “surrendered” during Operation Sindoor. While Rahul’s statement has sparked a fresh controversy, Nadda’s response has highlighted the bitter rivalry between the two parties and the lack of credibility of some political leaders.
