Mahua wrongly corrects PM Modi, calls Sarojini Bose ‘Sarojini Naidu’
In a recent address to the Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned a significant event from India’s history, where Sarojini Bose vowed not to wear her gold bangles until the ban on ‘Vande Mataram’ was lifted in the early 1900s. However, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra attempted to correct the Prime Minister, shouting “Naidu, sir”. This correction, though, was incorrect, as Sarojini Bose and Sarojini Naidu were two different women.

Naidu was also the first woman to become the Governor of Uttar Pradesh and was a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi.
