J&K BJP Leader Raina Shares Video with Soldiers in Snow, Opp’n Criticises Him
The northern state of Jammu and Kashmir has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately. The recent terror attack in Pahalgam has left the nation shaken, and the security situation in the state is still tense. Amidst this backdrop, J&K BJP leader Ravinder Raina has found himself at the center of a controversy after posting a video on social media showing him running through snow with security personnel.
The video, which has gone viral, shows Raina and the security personnel running through the snow-covered roads, with the BJP leader even doing a few jumping jacks and laughing along with the soldiers. The video is meant to be a show of solidarity with the security forces, but it has instead been criticized by opposition leaders, who have accused Raina of misusing the security forces.
Opposition leaders, including Shiv Sena-UBT’s Priyanka Chaturvedi, have lashed out at Raina, saying that the security forces should be used to protect the borders, not to save BJP leaders. Chaturvedi took to Twitter to express her outrage, saying, “Security forces can protect borders later, but saving BJP leaders is very important.”
Raina’s video was posted just days after the Pahalgam terror attack, which left several people dead and injured. The attack was carried out by terrorists who infiltrated into the state from across the border. The security situation in J&K is already tense, and the opposition has been criticizing the government for its handling of the situation.
Raina’s video has been seen as an attempt to deflect attention from the government’s failures and to project himself as a champion of the security forces. However, the opposition sees it as an attempt to misuse the security forces for personal gain.
“This is a clear misuse of the security forces,” said Chaturvedi. “Instead of using them to protect the borders, Raina is using them to promote himself. It’s a shame that the government is allowing this to happen.”
Raina’s video has also been criticized by other opposition leaders, including Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, who said that the BJP leader’s antics are a “reel game” and not a serious attempt to show solidarity with the security forces.
“The video is a clear attempt to distract people from the government’s failures,” said Ramesh. “Instead of focusing on the security situation, Raina is trying to show off his physical prowess. It’s a shame that the government is allowing this to happen.”
The BJP, however, has defended Raina’s video, saying that it is a legitimate attempt to show solidarity with the security forces. “Raina’s video is a genuine attempt to show his support for the security forces,” said a BJP spokesperson. “It’s a shame that the opposition is trying to politicize this issue.”
The controversy surrounding Raina’s video has once again highlighted the deep divisions in J&K, where the BJP is pitted against the opposition parties. The state has been in a state of political turmoil for years, with the BJP and the opposition parties locked in a bitter struggle for power.
The BJP has been criticizing the opposition for their handling of the security situation, saying that they are trying to divide the state along communal lines. The opposition, on the other hand, has been accusing the BJP of mishandling the security situation and using the security forces for personal gain.
As the controversy surrounding Raina’s video continues to rage on, it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold in J&K. One thing is certain, however – the state is in dire need of a solution to its security issues, and the endless bickering between the BJP and the opposition is not helping.
