BJP Responds to Mamata’s ‘Divide & Rule’ Claim, Says ‘Did Mobs Come Out of Air”
The political slugfest in West Bengal has taken a new turn with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hitting back at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s claim that they are playing a “divide and rule” game. The BJP has sparked a sharp rejoinder, questioning the competence of the state police and accusing Mamata of misleading the public.
The tussle began when Mamata Banerjee alleged that the BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are intentionally fuelling violence in the state by playing a “divide and rule” game. The BJP, however, has rejected these claims, saying that the state police were well-aware of the rallies and protests that took place, and that the mobs, weapons, and stones materialized out of thin air.
BJP’s Amit Malviya, the party’s national spokesperson, took to social media to respond to Mamata’s allegations. In a series of tweets, he said, “Bengal police were already aware of the rallies… Did mobs, weapons, and stones materialise out of thin air? Mamata Banerjee has always misled the public. She is trying to shift the focus from her government’s failure to maintain law and order.”
Malviya’s response was in reference to the recent violent clashes that broke out in different parts of the state, including Kolkata, Siliguri, and Jalpaiguri. The clashes were sparked by protests against the BJP’s rally in support of the NRC (National Register of Citizens) and CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act).
The BJP has accused Mamata’s government of being unable to maintain law and order, and has demanded that she take responsibility for the violence. The party has also called for a thorough investigation into the incidents and the arrest of those involved in the clashes.
Mamata Banerjee, on the other hand, has accused the BJP of trying to disrupt the peace and stability of the state. She has claimed that the party is intentionally trying to create divisions among the people of West Bengal by spreading hatred and violence.
The political rhetoric has led to a sharp deterioration in the relations between the BJP and Trinamool Congress (TMC), with both parties trading barbs and accusations. The situation has also taken a toll on the people of West Bengal, who are caught in the middle of the political slugfest.
The BJP’s response to Mamata’s allegations has been seen as a move to shift the focus from the party’s own role in the violence to the government’s inability to maintain law and order. The party has accused Mamata of trying to mislead the public and divert attention from the real issues.
The recent clashes in West Bengal have sparked widespread concern, with many calling for calm and restraint. The situation has also led to a sharp decline in the state’s economy, with businesses and industries suffering due to the violence and uncertainty.
In the midst of the political turmoil, the people of West Bengal are struggling to make ends meet. The state’s economy has been in a state of decline for some time, and the recent violence has only added to the woes of the people.
The BJP’s response to Mamata’s allegations has sparked a heated debate, with many questioning the party’s intentions and motives. Some have accused the party of trying to disrupt the peace and stability of the state, while others have defended the party’s stance, saying that Mamata’s government is responsible for the violence and chaos.
The situation in West Bengal is a complex one, with political rivalry, economic decline, and social unrest all contributing to the state’s woes. The people of West Bengal deserve better, and it is the responsibility of their leaders to work towards a more stable and prosperous future.
