Rave Party Busted in Hyd, 6 Including Housewife & Techie Arrested
In a major crackdown on drug-related activities, the Hyderabad Police has busted a rave party at a Kondapur apartment in the city and arrested six people, including two peddlers and three consumers. The arrested individuals include a housewife, a software engineer, and a wine shop businessman.
According to the police, the raid was conducted on Sunday night after receiving a tip-off about a rave party being hosted at an apartment in Kondapur. A team of police officials, led by the Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, V.C. Sajjanar, was dispatched to the location.
Upon arriving at the scene, the police found that the party was indeed in full swing, with music blaring and people dancing to the beats. The officers quickly sprang into action, arresting six individuals, including the organizers and attendees, in the process.
The arrested individuals were identified as 31-year-old Rohan Kumar, a software engineer from Serilingampally, 36-year-old Naveen Kumar, a wine shop businessman, 28-year-old housewife, Vijaya Lakshmi, 25-year-old student, Srinivas, 28-year-old businessman, Manoj Kumar, and 30-year-old event manager, Suresh.
The police seized a significant amount of drugs from the scene, including 20 grams of cocaine, eight ecstasy pills, and three grams of MDMA (3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine). MDMA is a synthetic drug that is often used in rave parties and is known for its euphoric effects.
The police officials said that the party was being hosted by Rohan Kumar, who is a known drug peddler. “Rohan Kumar was the main organizer of the party and was also the one who supplied the drugs,” said a police official. “He has a history of drug-related offenses and has been arrested multiple times in the past.”
The police also found that the other arrested individuals were either consumers or had some connection to the party. “Naveen Kumar, the wine shop businessman, was found to be one of the attendees,” said the official. “He was not the organizer, but was consuming the drugs at the party.”
The housewife, Vijaya Lakshmi, was also arrested for her involvement in the party. According to the police, she was present at the party and was consuming drugs. “She is a mother of two and was involved in a number of other illegal activities,” said the official.
The police officials said that the raid was a result of a tip-off from an anonymous caller. “We received a call from an anonymous caller who told us about the party and the drugs being consumed,” said the Cyberabad Commissioner of Police. “We acted quickly and arrested the individuals involved.”
The arrested individuals have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and are currently in police custody. The police are also investigating the source of the drugs and the extent of the network involved in the party.
The bust is seen as a major blow to the drug mafia in the city, which has been causing concern among the residents and authorities. The police officials said that they will continue to crack down on drug-related activities and will not tolerate any illegal activities in the city.
