Rave Party Busted in Hyd, 6 Including Housewife & Techie Arrested
Hyderabad, known for its vibrant cultural scene and bustling nightlife, has once again witnessed a shocking incident. The Hyderabad Police recently busted a rave party at a Kondapur apartment, arresting six people, including two peddlers and three consumers. The authorities seized a significant amount of illegal drugs, including 20 grams of cocaine, eight ecstasy pills, and three grams of MDMA.
The party, which was allegedly a private gathering, was raided by the police at around 10:30 pm on Saturday. According to sources, the party was being hosted at a luxurious apartment in Kondapur, a posh suburb of Hyderabad. The guests, who were mostly young adults, were indulging in drugs and other illegal activities when the police arrived.
The arrested persons include a 36-year-old wine shop businessman, a 31-year-old software engineer from Serilingampally, and a 35-year-old housewife. Two other women, aged 25 and 28, were also taken into custody. The accused were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The police investigation revealed that the party was organized by a local drug peddler, who had brought in the drugs from outside the city. The peddler, along with the three consumers, was arrested on the spot. The housewife and software engineer were arrested for consuming the drugs, while the wine shop businessman was arrested for allegedly providing the venue for the party.
The police also recovered a significant amount of cash from the arrested persons, which is believed to be the proceeds of the illegal drug trade. The authorities have launched an investigation to identify the masterminds behind the party and the supply chain of the drugs.
The busting of the rave party has sent shockwaves through the city’s party circuit, with many wondering how such events can take place under the radar of the authorities. The incident has also raised concerns about the growing drug menace in the city, which has been linked to various criminal activities, including theft, burglary, and even murder.
The Hyderabad Police have been working tirelessly to combat the drug menace in the city, with regular raids and seizures of illegal drugs. However, despite these efforts, the problem persists, with new cases emerging every week. The authorities have attributed the rise in drug use to the increasing availability of drugs, particularly among the young and affluent.
The police have also appealed to the public to come forward and report any suspicious activities or parties. The authorities have promised to take strict action against those found involved in the drug trade, including peddlers, consumers, and organizers.
In recent months, there have been several instances of drug-related seizures and arrests in Hyderabad. In October, the police had seized a massive quantity of ganja and cocaine from a warehouse in the city’s Hayathnagar area. In November, a group of drug peddlers was arrested for selling drugs to college students in the city.
The busting of the rave party is a significant development in the city’s fight against drugs, and the authorities are expected to intensify their efforts to curb the menace. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of drug use and the need for greater vigilance and awareness among citizens.
