Rave Party Busted in Hyd, 6 Including Housewife & Techie Arrested

The arrested persons include a 31-year-old software engineer from Serilingampally, a 36-year-old wine shop businessman, a 25-year-old housewife, a 28-year-old IT professional, a 29-year-old event management professional, and a 32-year-old businessman.
The police stated that the software engineer and the wine shop businessman were the main peddlers of the illegal drugs, while the others were consumers who had attended the party. The drugs seized during the raid were found to be of high quality and had a street value of over Rs. 1 lakh.
The police also found a sound system, DJ equipment, and other materials used for the rave party. The arrested individuals were produced before a local court and were remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.
The police investigation revealed that the software engineer and the wine shop businessman had been running a drug racket in the city and had been supplying drugs to several other parties and events. The housewife, who was also arrested, had reportedly been a regular consumer of drugs and had attended the party along with her friends.
The police have registered a case under Sections 8 and 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, and are further investigating the case to identify other individuals who may have been involved in the drug racket.
