
Man Electrocuted in K’taka’s Dakshina Kannada
Tragedy struck in Kodiyala village, located in Sullia taluk, Karnataka, when a 48-year-old man lost his life due to suspected electrocution on Wednesday morning. The deceased, K Divakara, was a resident of the village and was working on his farmland when the incident occurred.
According to reports, Divakara left his home early in the morning, as was his routine. However, his family members grew worried when he failed to return by mid-morning. It was around 7:00 am that his brother, who was also working on the farmland, found him unresponsive near a snapped live wire.
The brother, who was shocked by the sight, immediately alerted the family members, and they rushed to the spot to find Divakara in an unconscious state. Despite efforts to revive him, the 48-year-old man was declared dead at the scene.
The villagers were shocked and saddened by the news of the tragedy, and the family members were left to grapple with the loss of their loved one. The authorities were informed of the incident, and a team from the Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) was dispatched to the spot to investigate the matter.
