Health Worker Arrested for Spying, Sent New IAF & BSF Sites’ Visuals to Pak, Got ₹40,000
In a shocking revelation, a Gujarat-based health worker, Sahdev Singh Gohil, has been arrested for spying and sharing sensitive information with a Pakistani agent. Gohil, who works as a health worker at a government hospital in Gujarat, was arrested by the police after he was found to be sharing crucial information about Indian Air Force (IAF) and Border Security Force (BSF) sites with a Pakistani agent. The investigation revealed that Gohil had been paid ₹40,000 cash by an unidentified man for sharing the sensitive information.
According to the police, Gohil was approached by a Pakistani agent who posed as a businessman and offered him a huge sum of money to share information about the newly-constructed or under-construction IAF and BSF sites. Gohil, tempted by the offer, agreed to share the information and started sending photos and videos of the sites to the Pakistani agent.
The police investigation revealed that Gohil had bought a SIM card on his Aadhaar card and activated WhatsApp on it for the Pakistani agent’s use. He would send the sensitive information to the agent, who would then use it to gather intelligence and harm India’s national security.
The police were able to crack the case after they received a tip-off about Gohil’s activities. They then tracked his SIM card and found that he had been sending sensitive information to a Pakistani number. The police also recovered the phone and SIM card from Gohil’s possession.
Gohil was arrested and interrogated, and he confessed to the crime. He told the police that he was offered ₹40,000 cash by an unidentified man to share the information and that he had been doing it for several months.
The police are now investigating the Pakistani agent who approached Gohil and is trying to identify him. The investigation is still ongoing, and the police are also trying to find out how Gohil came into contact with the Pakistani agent.
This case highlights the gravity of the threat posed by espionage and the need for vigilance and strict surveillance to prevent such incidents. It also raises questions about the security measures in place to prevent sensitive information from being shared with foreign agents.
The government and security agencies are taking steps to strengthen the security measures and prevent such incidents in the future. The police are also conducting a thorough investigation to identify and punish those involved in the espionage racket.
In a statement, the police said, “We are taking all necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future. We are strengthening our surveillance and monitoring systems to prevent sensitive information from being shared with foreign agents.”
The government has also issued a statement condemning the incident and promising to take stern action against those involved.
The incident is a wake-up call for all of us to be vigilant and aware of the threats posed by espionage. We need to be proactive in preventing such incidents and protecting our national security.
