The farmers’ unions, who were at the forefront of the protests against the agriculture laws, have also expressed their gratitude to Dhindsa for returning his Padma Bhushan award in support of their cause. This move was seen as a significant gesture of solidarity, and it has earned Dhindsa a special place in the hearts of the farmers and the people of Punjab.
