Aly Goni, Iqbal Khan’s families stranded in J&K after flash floods
The picturesque state of Jammu & Kashmir has been hit by a series of flash floods and landslides following a cloudburst, leaving many families stranded, including those of popular television actors Aly Goni and Iqbal Khan. The sudden and unexpected disaster has left the authorities scrambling to evacuate those affected, while the actors are doing their best to get in touch with their loved ones.
Aly Goni, who hails from Jammu, has been trying to get in touch with his family since the flash floods struck. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he revealed that although networks were disrupted, he was eventually able to speak to his father. “Though networks were disrupted, I was eventually able to speak to dad,” Aly said, expressing his relief at being able to make contact with his family.
On the other hand, Iqbal Khan’s family is still stuck in Srinagar, with the actor himself unable to get in touch with them. “Networks are completely blocked,” Iqbal tweeted, expressing his concern for his family’s safety.
The flash floods and landslides were triggered by a cloudburst in the Batote-Ramban sector of Jammu & Kashmir, which has been experiencing heavy rainfall over the past few days. The sudden and intense rainfall caused the water levels in the rivers to rise rapidly, resulting in flash floods that have affected several villages and towns in the region.
The Indian Army, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and other rescue teams have been deployed to the affected areas to assist in the evacuation efforts. So far, several people have been rescued, and relief camps have been set up to provide shelter and food to those affected.
Aly Goni’s family is among those who have been affected by the flash floods. Since the floods struck, Aly has been trying to get in touch with his family, but due to the disruption in networks, he has been unable to do so. However, he is relieved to have finally spoken to his father, who is safe and sound.
“I was feeling helpless, not knowing what was happening to my family,” Aly said in an interview with HT. “But when I finally spoke to my dad, I felt a sense of relief. He’s safe, and that’s all that matters.”
Iqbal Khan’s family, on the other hand, is still stuck in Srinagar, with the actor himself unable to get in touch with them. Iqbal has been sharing updates on social media, expressing his concern for his family’s safety and well-being.
“Iqbal is really worried about his family, and he’s been trying to get in touch with them since the floods struck,” a source close to the actor revealed. “He’s been sharing updates on social media, but he’s still unable to get in touch with them.”
