Aly Goni, Iqbal Khan’s families stranded in J&K after flash floods
The recent flash floods and landslides triggered by cloudbursts in Jammu and Kashmir have left many people stranded, and unfortunately, this includes the families of two popular television actors, Aly Goni and Iqbal Khan. The heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding have caused widespread disruption, with many areas in the region experiencing power outages and communication networks being severely affected.
Aly Goni, who hails from Jammu, has been in touch with his family, but his friends and colleagues are worried about the well-being of his parents, who are stuck in the affected areas. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Aly spoke about the ordeal, saying, “Though networks were disrupted, I was eventually able to speak to dad. He’s safe, but the situation is really bad. We’re just waiting for the situation to improve so we can get them to a safer place.”
Iqbal Khan, on the other hand, has not been able to get in touch with his parents, who are stuck in Srinagar. He shared his concerns, saying, “Networks are completely blocked. I’m trying to get in touch with them, but it’s not possible. I’m really worried about their safety and well-being.”
The flash floods and landslides have caused immense destruction in the region, with many homes and buildings being damaged or destroyed. The situation is particularly dire in the Valley, where the floodwaters have inundated many areas, including residential colonies and commercial hubs.
The Indian Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and other relief agencies have been working tirelessly to rescue those stranded and provide aid to the affected families. However, the scale of the disaster is massive, and it may take several days or even weeks for the situation to return to normal.
Aly Goni and Iqbal Khan are not the only ones affected by the floods. Many others, including tourists and locals, are stuck in the affected areas, waiting for the situation to improve. The floodwaters have also contaminated water sources, making it difficult for people to access clean drinking water.
The floods have also had a significant impact on the economy of the region, with many businesses being forced to shut down temporarily. The tourism industry, which is a major contributor to the region’s economy, has been particularly hard hit, with many hotels and resorts being affected by the floods.
As the situation continues to unfold, the thoughts of everyone involved are with the families of Aly Goni and Iqbal Khan, as well as with those who are stranded and affected by the floods. It is hoped that the relief efforts will be successful in rescuing those stranded and providing aid to the affected families.
