Rave Party Busted in Hyd, 6 Including Housewife & Techie Arrested
The Hyderabad Police has made a significant haul by busting a rave party at a Kondapur apartment in the city, arresting six individuals, including two peddlers and three consumers. The partygoers were found in possession of a significant quantity of drugs, including cocaine, ecstasy pills, and MDMA.
The operation was carried out by the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate’s special task force (STF) on Tuesday night, following a tip-off about the party. The police team, led by Inspector K Srinivas, reached the apartment around 11 pm and found the party in full swing.
During the raid, the police recovered 20 grams of cocaine, eight ecstasy pills, and three grams of MDMA from the premises. The arrested persons include a housewife, a 31-year-old software engineer from Serilingampally, and a 36-year-old wine shop businessman.
The arrested individuals were identified as Srinivas Rao (36), a wine shop owner from Kondapur; his friend, Ravi Kumar (31), a software engineer from Serilingampally; Rohan (22), a student from Banjara Hills; Swapna (28), a housewife from Kondapur; and two peddlers, Rohit (23) and Deepak (25), both from Telangana.
According to the police, Srinivas Rao and Ravi Kumar had organized the party at their apartment, which was decorated with strobe lights and sound systems. The partygoers had consumed the drugs and were dancing to loud music when the police arrived.
The police said that the party had been going on for several hours, and the guests had consumed a significant quantity of drugs. The raid was successful, and the police were able to recover a large quantity of drugs from the premises.
“We received a tip-off about the party, and our team worked quickly to track down the location and bust the party,” said Inspector Srinivas, who led the operation. “The arrested individuals will be booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and we will investigate further to find out who organized the party and how they got the drugs.”
The arrested individuals were taken into custody and are being questioned by the police. The police are also investigating the source of the drugs and how they were supplied to the party.
The busting of the rave party is a significant blow to drug peddlers and consumers in the city. The police have been working to curb the drug menace in the city, and this operation is a testament to their efforts.
