According to the reports, the police received a tip-off about the rave party being held at an apartment in Kondapur, a posh locality in Hyderabad. The police team, led by Inspector M. Venkateshwar Rao, was dispatched to the location to investigate the matter. Upon arrival, they found a group of people, including a housewife, a software engineer, and a wine shop businessman, allegedly consuming drugs.
The police arrested the housewife, identified as 31-year-old Sujatha, who resides in the same apartment complex where the party was held. Sujatha’s husband was not present at the time of the raid. The other arrested individuals included a 36-year-old wine shop businessman, identified as Rohan, and a 31-year-old software engineer from Serilingampally, identified as Srinivas.
The police also arrested two peddlers, identified as Rohan and Raju, who were allegedly involved in supplying the drugs to the partygoers. The peddlers were caught with 20 grams of cocaine and eight ecstasy pills.
The police officials said that the party was organized by Rohan, the wine shop businessman, who had invited several friends and acquaintances. The party was being held on the rooftop of the apartment complex, where the guests were allegedly consuming drugs and dancing to loud music.
The police officials said that the party was busted at around 11 pm on Friday night, after they received a tip-off about the rave party. The police team, consisting of around 10 personnel, was dispatched to the location, where they found the party in full swing.
“We received a tip-off about the rave party being held at an apartment in Kondapur. We immediately dispatched a team of police personnel to the location. Upon arrival, we found the party in full swing, with several people allegedly consuming drugs and dancing to loud music,” said Inspector M. Venkateshwar Rao.
The police officials said that the arrested individuals were produced before a local court, where they were remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. The police officials also seized a laptop, a mobile phone, and a few other electronic devices from the arrested individuals, which are being examined to gather more evidence.
The Hyderabad Police have been cracking down on rave parties and drug peddling in the city, with several such incidents being reported in recent months. The police officials said that they will continue to take strict action against those involved in such activities.
