Rave Party Busted in Hyd, 6 Including Housewife & Techie Arrested
In a shocking incident, the Hyderabad Police busted a rave party at a Kondapur apartment in the city and arrested six people, including two peddlers and three consumers. The seized drugs included 20 grams of cocaine, eight ecstasy pills, and three grams of MDMA. The arrested persons include a housewife, a 31-year-old software engineer from Serilingampally, and a 36-year-old wine shop businessman.
According to the police, the raid was conducted on Saturday night at around 11 pm at an apartment in the Kondapur area. The police received a tip-off about a rave party being organized at the apartment and decided to take action. When the police reached the spot, they found around 20-30 people, including the accused, in a state of intoxication.
The police arrested six people, including two peddlers, who were identified as Rohan (25) and Rakesh (28), both residents of Hyderabad. The other four arrested persons, including the housewife and the software engineer, were identified as Madhuri (32), a housewife from Kondapur, her friend, a 26-year-old from Hitech City, the software engineer from Serilingampally, and the wine shop businessman, a 36-year-old from Kondapur.
The police seized 20 grams of cocaine, eight ecstasy pills, and three grams of MDMA from the spot. The total value of the seized drugs is estimated to be around Rs 1.5 lakh.
The police said that the rave party was being organized by Rohan and Rakesh, who were the peddlers of the drugs. The two had been operating in the city for some time and had been selling drugs to party-goers at exorbitant prices.
The police also recovered a car and a bike from the spot, which were allegedly used by the accused to transport the drugs.
The arrested persons were produced before a local court on Sunday and were remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.
The police said that they were questioning the arrested persons to find out the source of the drugs and the extent of their involvement in the illegal trade.
The raid was conducted by a team of police officials from the Kondapur police station, led by Inspector V. Venkateshwar Rao.
The police have appealed to the public to come forward and share any information they may have about the illegal drug trade in the city.
The Hyderabad Police have been cracking down on illegal drug peddlers and party organizers in recent months. In January this year, the police busted a similar rave party at a farmhouse in the outskirts of the city and arrested five people, including two peddlers and three consumers.
The police have also been conducting regular raids on nightclubs and bars in the city to check for any illegal activities.
The seizure of such a large quantity of drugs is a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in the city. The police are now working to identify the source of the drugs and to dismantle the network of peddlers and consumers.
The police have also appealed to the public to report any suspicious activity to the police and to not to consume any drugs.
