The incident occurred at around 6:30 pm on Thursday when the man, identified as Rohan Chaudhary, arrived at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai, desperate to catch his missed flight. According to reports, Rohan had missed his scheduled flight from Mumbai to Patna due to some unknown reason.
In his bid to catch the flight, Rohan took an unusual route. He ran across the apron, which is a designated area where aircraft are parked, and attempted to board another aircraft that had just landed from Bhuj. Unaware that his original flight had already taken off, Rohan was trying to board the new flight, hoping to catch up with his missed connection.
However, his plan was foiled when an Air India staff member spotted him attempting to board the aircraft. The staff member immediately lodged a complaint against Rohan, leading to his arrest.
Rohan was taken into custody by the airport authorities and booked under Section 141 of the Aircraft Act, which deals with “obstruction of aircraft in flight.” He was later released on bail.
