
Andhra CM Welcomes PM Modi for Yoga Day Celebrations in Vizag
On June 21, the 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the celebrations at RK Beach. This year’s Yoga Day celebrations were a unique and massive event, with over 3 lakh people expected to perform Yoga simultaneously on a 26-kilometer-long corridor stretching from RK Beach to Bhogapuram.
The event was a testament to the popularity of Yoga in the state, with over two crore people expected to participate across one lakh-plus locations in Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister, Naidu, expressed his excitement and gratitude on Twitter, saying “Honored to welcome Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi for #InternationalYogaDay celebrations in #Visakhapatnam. The celebrations were held at RK Beach, a popular tourist destination in Visakhapatnam, which was transformed into a Yoga hub for the day. Thousands of people gathered at the beach to perform various Yoga asanas, led by expert instructors. The event was organized by the Andhra Pradesh government, in collaboration with the Central government, to promote the benefits of Yoga and its importance in today’s fast-paced world.
