The Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TG LAWCET) is just around the corner, with the exam scheduled to be conducted on Thursday, June 6. The test, which is a crucial step for admission to law programs in the state, is expected to be a challenging one for the over 57,000 candidates who have applied to take the test.
According to the latest reports, the exam will be held in three sessions on the scheduled date, ensuring that all applicants have a fair chance to take the test. The test is being conducted by the Osmania University, which is the conducting body for the exam.
The number of applicants for the test has seen a significant surge this year, with a total of 57,715 candidates having applied to take the test. This is a substantial increase from the previous year’s numbers, highlighting the growing interest in law programs among students in the state.
Breaking down the numbers, the convener of the exam, Prof B Vijayalakshmi, revealed that 41,210 candidates have registered for the three-year LLB course. This is the largest number of applicants for any single course, indicating the popularity of the three-year LLB program among students.
The other courses being offered through the TG LAWCET include the five-year integrated LLB program, the LLB honors program, and the PG Diploma in Law. The exam is designed to test the candidates’ knowledge and skills in law, with the questions being set to assess their understanding of the subject.
The exam pattern for the TG LAWCET is as follows: the test will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying one mark. The questions will be set in three sections, covering topics such as law and governance, civil liberties, and human rights.
The exam will be held in 15 centers across the state, with the test timing being 11 AM to 1 PM. Candidates who have applied for the test will be issued admit cards, which will contain important details such as the test center, test timing, and roll number.
The results of the TG LAWCET will be declared on June 17, and candidates who clear the test will be eligible to participate in the counseling process for admission to law programs in the state.
The Osmania University has made elaborate arrangements to conduct the exam, with measures being taken to ensure that the test is conducted in a fair and transparent manner. The university has also set up a helpline for candidates to address any queries or concerns they may have regarding the exam.
In conclusion, the TG LAWCET is an important exam for students who are interested in pursuing law programs in the state. With over 57,000 applicants, this year’s exam is expected to be a highly competitive one, with candidates fighting for limited seats. We wish all the candidates the best of luck for their exam and hope that they are well-prepared to face the challenges that lie ahead.
