Vinayakan Held for Drunk & Disorderly Behaviour, Released on Bail
The Malayalam film industry has witnessed yet another controversy involving a prominent actor, this time it’s Vinayakan, who was arrested for creating disturbance at a hotel while in an intoxicated state. The actor, known for his impressive performances in several Malayalam films, was taken into custody by the Anchalummoodu police station under section 118(a) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with causing public nuisance by a drunken person.
According to the police, Vinayakan was found shouting at everyone, including the police officers, at a hotel in the early hours of the morning. An officer from the Anchalummoodu police station confirmed the incident, stating that the actor was extremely drunk and causing a ruckus. “He was very drunk and shouting at everyone, even police,” the officer said.
The incident reportedly occurred around 2:30 am, when Vinayakan was spotted causing a disturbance at a hotel in the state capital. The police were informed about the incident, and a team was dispatched to the location to take the actor into custody. Vinayakan was taken to the Anchalummoodu police station, where he was registered under section 118(a) of the IPC.
It is worth noting that section 118(a) of the IPC deals with causing public nuisance by a drunken person. The section reads: “Whoever, being in a state of intoxication, goes about in a public place, or is found in a public place, or is found in a public place, or is found in a public place in a state of intoxication, shall be punished with fine which may extend to twenty-five rupees.”
Vinayakan was released on bail after his associate stood as surety for him. The actor’s associate reportedly provided a surety of Rs. 20,000 to secure his release.
This is not the first time that Vinayakan has been involved in a controversy. In the past, he has been accused of assaulting a driver, which led to a police complaint being filed against him. The incident reportedly occurred in 2019, when Vinayakan allegedly assaulted a driver who was ferrying him from a film shoot. The driver had claimed that Vinayakan had slapped him and threatened to kill him.
The latest incident involving Vinayakan has raised concerns about the actor’s behavior, particularly when he is under the influence of alcohol. While it is understandable that everyone needs to let their hair down and have a good time, it is also important to ensure that one’s actions do not harm others or cause a disturbance in public.
As an industry, the Malayalam film industry has been plagued by controversies involving its actors and actresses. From allegations of harassment and assault to cases of drunken driving and public disturbance, there have been numerous instances where actors have found themselves in legal trouble.
In Vinayakan’s case, his latest arrest is a wake-up call for the actor to reflect on his behavior and the impact it may have on others. While he has been released on bail, it is essential that he takes this incident as an opportunity to improve himself and set a good example for his fans and followers.
In conclusion, Vinayakan’s arrest for causing public nuisance while intoxicated is a reminder that actors are not above the law and that their actions have consequences. While it is understandable that everyone makes mistakes, it is also important to learn from them and move forward in a positive direction.
