J&K BJP Leader Raina Shares Video with Soldiers in Snow, Opp’n Criticises Him
In the midst of a tense political atmosphere, a video shared by Jammu and Kashmir BJP leader Ravinder Raina has drawn flak from the opposition. The video shows Raina running through snow with security personnel, days after the Pahalgam terror attack. The opposition leaders have accused him of misusing the security forces, while the ruling party has defended the move as a morale booster for the troops.
Raina, who is also the Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief, shared the video on social media with the caption “Reel Game On Point”. The video shows him jogging through the snow-covered roads of Pahalgam, accompanied by security personnel, including soldiers and police officers. The video has been viewed thousands of times, with many commenting on the fun and relaxed atmosphere.
However, the opposition leaders have been quick to pounce on the issue, accusing Raina of using the security forces for personal gain. “Security forces can protect borders later, but saving BJP leaders is very important,” tweeted Shiv Sena-UBT’s Priyanka Chaturvedi. “This is a classic example of how the BJP uses the security forces for their personal interests.”
Chaturvedi’s remark was echoed by other opposition leaders, who accused Raina of misusing the security forces for his personal gain. “This is a clear example of how the BJP is using the security forces for their political gains,” said Congress leader Randeep Surjewala. “The security forces should be used to protect the borders and the citizens, not to boost the morale of BJP leaders.”
The opposition leaders’ criticism has been met with a strong response from the ruling party. “The opposition is trying to politicize everything,” said BJP spokesperson Sudesh Verma. “The security forces are doing an excellent job of maintaining law and order in Jammu and Kashmir, and this video is just a small gesture of appreciation from the party towards their efforts.”
Verma also defended Raina’s decision to share the video, saying that it was meant to boost the morale of the security personnel. “The video was meant to show the soldiers and police officers that we appreciate their hard work and dedication,” said Verma. “It’s not about us, it’s about them and the sacrifices they make to keep us safe.”
The opposition leaders, however, are not convinced. “This is just another example of how the BJP is trying to divert attention from the real issues,” said CPI(M) leader Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are suffering due to the economic crisis and the lack of development, but the BJP is more interested in sharing videos of party leaders running through snow.”
The controversy surrounding Raina’s video has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many people weighing in on the issue. While some have praised Raina for boosting the morale of the security personnel, others have accused him of misusing the security forces.
As the debate rages on, it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold. Will the opposition leaders continue to criticize Raina and the BJP, or will they tone down their criticism in the face of mounting public pressure? Only time will tell.
